Between numerous river bends, there are\u00a0<strong>wet meadows<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 often flooded \u2013 that are a natural habitat of\u00a0<strong>great number of birds and rare insects<\/strong>. The natural park is an excellent destination for those who like to admire diverse flora and fauna in a beautiful natural environment.<\/p>\n<h2>Lo\u017enica River<\/h2>\n<p>The Lo\u017enica River is 26 kilometres long and flows into the Savinja River. It is one of the few Slovene rivers and streams with a\u00a0<strong>preserved natural course<\/strong>. The river lazily bends in the shade of alder and willow trees, separating the farming land from the wet meadows and giving protection to\u00a0<strong>many animals and plants<\/strong>. Because of the very small impact of human activities on this part of the park, the biodiversity is very high.
